Wolfsburg need to improve

Former Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez said that his current club Wolfsburg needs to improve quickly if they want to climb up the table.

The team has had an indifferent season so far, and Mario Gomez said that they are working on that.

Wolfsburg has a good squad at the moment, and many pundits cannot understand why the team is underperforming at the moment. Mario Gomez believes that there is a lack of confidence in the team and that the players are not playing freely on the pitch.

He said that the players need to learn how to play it simple and make sure that they do not overelaborate on the pitch. He said that the best match so far has been the first half of the game against Hertha Berlin where they were leading 2-1 at half time. Unfortunately for them, they will concede two goals in the second half and will end up losing the game 3-2.

Mario Gomez said that the players had held several meetings to discuss how the team can improve and he feels that things are heading in the right direction. He said that the Bundesliga have become quite competitive and that it is becoming quite difficult to win games.

Gomez said that apart Bayern Munich all the teams are quite close and that it is important that you remain consistent if you want to climb up the table. He feels that Wolfsburg currently like this consistency and this is why they are not able to win games.

He said that he is happy with Wolfsburg at the moment and that he is desperate to get back into the national team. He feels that he is back to his best and that he has fully recovered from his injuries and it is up to the manager to decide whether he needs him or not.
